What mastering actually does

A good mix tells the story. Mastering makes sure every listener hears it the same way — whether they're on earbuds, a car stereo, or a club system.

Loudness & dynamics

Bring your track to competitive loudness without squashing the life out of it. Targeted to the platform — Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube all have different specs.

Tonal balance

A fresh set of ears on your mix catches build-up, harshness, and muddiness that's easy to miss after hours in a session.

Stereo & depth

Width, depth, and mono compatibility checked and refined so nothing falls apart on smaller speakers or in a mono Bluetooth context.

Blackbird Academy graduate

Studio + Live programs — both completed. Trained at one of the most respected audio engineering schools in the country, in Nashville.

Years of experience

Not a hobbyist with a plugin subscription. Years of real sessions — mixing, mastering, and restoration — across music, podcast, and spoken word.

Industry standard tools

iZotope Ozone, Fab-Filter Pro-L, Pro-Q, Pro-MB, Sonnox, and more. The same software used in professional mastering studios worldwide.

Pricing

Per-track pricing. No subscription required. Additional revisions beyond your plan: $30/round.

A revision is a second pass based on your notes — not a new master.

WAV strongly recommended. 24-bit, 44.1kHz or higher. MP3 and lossy formats accepted but will limit the quality of the master.

Stem mastering

Send stems instead of a stereo mix and I'll have more control over the final master. Best for tracks where the mix still needs work but the deadline won't wait.

+$40 / track

Vinyl prep

A vinyl-specific master optimized for the cutting lathe — low-end mono'd below 150Hz, sibilance controlled, levels right for the format.
